I haven't hired a car for some years, and this was a great day made so much better by a really efficient and personalised service delivered by real people. This included every aspect - the person on the reception desk at Twickenham, the manager who met me at the beginning of a single day car hire (and patiently explained how an automatic works!), his colleague who showed me the car, the customer services lady I rang later that day when I realised I wouldn't be able to return it by the end of that day (who was the same person who had confirmed the booking), and the kind woman who took my keys when I returned the car (almost new, drove like a dream) 30 mins earlier than opening time at day break the next morning.
